ANC-SEA-SFO

San Francisco, CA
February 16, 2015

This was not an interesting day in terms of blogometrics. (I just made that word up. I think.) But when you live in Alaska, you have to spend a lot of time traveling before the real traveling can start.

I know some of you are thinking that it's all "real" traveling, but trust me, it isn't. Getting out of Alaska is very tedious and always involves sleep deprivation. Here is how I cope with it:
  • Put at least 150 of your favorite songs on iTunes
  • Put at least 5 books and 25 book samples on Kindle
  • Get on the plane
  • Put on headphones and plug them into iPhone
  • Put the iPhone on a lanyard so you don't lose it
  • Turn up the music loud enough to block out incessant talkers
  • Cuddle up with a travel blanket
  • Read until you land
  • Get upgraded to first class
Left to my own devices
One thing I liked about the San Francisco airport: there is a wall sculpture made out of saxophones.

One thing I did not like about the San Francisco airport: the pick-up point for hotel shuttles, etc. is NOT right outside of the baggage claim - it is up one level. Tricky.
